Dr. Tomohiro Kuroda is the vice chief information officer of Kyoto University Hospital, Japan, where he holds an associate professor position at the School of Medicine and the Graduate School of Informatics. As the vice chief information officer, he directed and successfully introduced a fully operational hospital information system at Kyoto University Hospital, including electronic health records, in 2005. He has also developed and patented several information systems and devices, including an intelligent data glove and a networked digital camera system. Among his honors are the Abe Prize from JSMBE (2000), the Award of Outstanding Paper from ICAT (2003) and the Best Paper award of VRSJ (2004). His research interests include Human Interface, Virtual/Augmented Reality, Wearable Computing, and Medical & Assistive Informatics. Dr. Kuroda has a Ph.D. in Information Science from Nara Institute of Science and Technology, Japan. He is a member of IEEE, VRSJ, HISJ, JSMBE, JAMI, IEICE, and other professional bodies. He served as a councilor of HISJ from 2004 to 2006. He is now serving as the executive director of JASL, the chief editor of JSMVR and a councilor of JAMI, and his editorial board memberships include the magazine of HISJ and the journal of VRSJ.

特邀讲者　权龙
Dr. Long Quan received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from INPL, France in 1989. Before joining the Department of Computer Science at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) in 2001, he was a CNRS senior research scientist at INRIA in Grenoble, France since 1990. He is now a professor in HKUST. His research interests focus on 3D reconstruction, structure from motion, and image-based modeling.

He has served as an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence (PAMI) and a Regional Editor of the Image and Vision Computing Journal (IVC). He is on the editorial boards of the International Journal of Computer Vision (IJCV), the Electronic Letters on Computer Vision and Image Analysis (ELCVIA), Machine Vision and Applications, (MVA) and Foundations and Trends in Computer Graphics and Vision. He has served and contributed to the International Conference on Computer Vision (ICCV), the European Conference on Computer Vision (ECCV), the IEEE Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR) and the IAPR International Conference on Pattern Recognition (ICPR). Among others, he was a Program Chair of ICPR 2006 Computer Vision and Image Analysis, and is a Program Chair of ICPR 2012 Computer and Robot Vision and a General Chair of ICCV 2011 in Barcelona. He is the founding director of the HKUST Center for Visual Computing and Image Science, and a Fellow of the IEEE Computer Society.

特邀讲者　袁晓如
Dr. Xiaoru Yuan is a faculty member in the School of Electronics Engineering and Computer Science at Peking University, China. He received Bachelor degrees in chemistry and law from Peking University, in 1997 and 1998, respectively. He received the Ph.D. degree in computer science in 2006 from the University of Minnesota at Twin Cities, USA. His primary research interests are in the field of visualization, with emphasis on information visualization, visual analytics, high performance rendering and visualization for large data and novel visualization user interface. His co-authored work on high dynamic range volume visualization received the Best Application Paper Award at the IEEE Visualization 2005 conference. He is vice president of CCF YOCSEF 2011-2012. 执行主席李肯立

教授,博士生导师，国家超算长沙中心湖南大学筹备办公室副主任。CCF YOCSEF长沙分论坛2011-2012年度主席,CCF高级会员,中国计算机学会高性能计算专业委员会常务委员,中国软件行业协会数学软件分会、湖南省计算机学会理事。主要研究领域为并行分布式处理、计算机仿真和生物计算技术等。作为项目负责人主持或完成了国家和省部级项目9项. 获湖南省科技进步二等奖2 次。在IEEE TOC,JPDC,FGCS,JCST,中国科学,计算机学报,软件学报等国内学术刊物上发表论文70余篇。

博士，湖南大学副教授，CCF高级会员，中国计算机辅助设计与图形学专委会委员，CCF YOCSEF长沙分论坛2011-2012年度学会秘书，为《中国图像图形学报》和CVIU期刊审稿。
