2026-11-03
On October 22, 2026, CCF and the Singapore Computer Society (SCS) held a bilateral meeting in Chengdu. Facing profound changes brought by AI, both parties focused on youth talent development, professional capacity certification, and regional enterprise services. CCF President Ninghui Sun, Secretary General Weiqing Tang, Chair of the International Cooperation Committee Xilin Chen, and Former Secretary General Zide Du; along with SCS President Lim Bee Kwan, Vice President Han Chung Heng, and Executive Director Lee Ching Ann attended the meeting, which was chaired by Xilin Chen.
Ninghui Sun welcomed the SCS delegation. Lim Bee Kwan introduced SCS's explorations in responding to the AI impact. She shared how SCS is working to improve youth employment through a dual approach of "setting standards on the enterprise side" and "focusing on practice on the student side." She also introduced SCS's professional training and certification system developed with academic and government institutions. Furthermore, leveraging Singapore's regional hub advantage, SCS shared its experience in serving as a platform to help enterprises connect with international resources.
After in-depth discussions, both parties reached a cooperation consensus in multiple areas. In youth talent development, they will promote interaction between young scholars and students of both societies; in professional capacity building, they will explore cooperation possibilities in training and certification; in academic exchange, they will promote the synergy of academic conferences and further enhance industry-academia connectivity.
Since the signing of the MOU in 2024, CCF and SCS have maintained close ties. Moving forward, CCF will continue to strengthen pragmatic cooperation with SCS, jointly contributing to the talent ecosystem and technological prosperity of the Asia-Pacific region.
