Ninghui Sun welcomed the ACM delegation and introduced CCF's recent developments. George Neville-Neil highlighted the work of ACM's newly established Global Engagement Board (GEB), noting its focus on bottom-up regional outreach through micro-grants, summer schools, and the Distinguished Speakers Program to boost youth engagement. He also expressed ACM's vision for pragmatic cooperation with CCF, particularly in digital library translation and cross-language retrieval.
Following in-depth discussions, both sides reached a broad consensus on future collaboration. Amid the complex international landscape, both societies will explore more flexible and diverse cooperation mechanisms to broaden academic exchange channels. In academic publishing, both parties discussed the possibility of upgrading current cooperation to promote deeper bilingual exchanges. Regarding youth development and resource sharing, they will further advance pragmatic collaboration in digital library translation and summer schools.
CCF and ACM have maintained close high-level visits and substantive cooperation over the years, including the joint CCF-ACM Award for AI and joint efforts in academic conferences, journal recommendations, and membership services. Moving forward, CCF will continue to strengthen its internationalization and work with ACM to explore flexible, pragmatic cooperation paths and build a high-quality platform for global computing scholars.
